Studying for a Master's Degree provides an opportunity to receive in-depth training, additional competencies, to form knowledge, skills, and abilities for research, scientific-pedagogical, managerial, professional, and innovative activities. The Second Level of Higher Education in the Republic of Belarus corresponds to 7 levels of the Master's Degree or its equivalent according to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED).
The study process at the University is conducted fully in Russian. The BSU offers the same Bachelor’s programmes in English, with many offering a unique interdisciplinary approach.
THE LIST OF MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMMES
The duration of the BSU Master's Degree Programmes is 1-2 years. The academic year lasts from 1 September to 30 June. Over the course of the programme, students receive 60-120 credits. At the end of the course, a Master's Degree Diploma is issued.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of education those persons who are:
- foreign citizens and stateless persons of Belarusian nationality permanently residing on the territory of foreign states
- foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in the Republic of Belarus or those who are granted refugee status or asylum in the Republic of Belarus
- citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan
have the right to participate in the competing for Master's Degree at BSU at the expense of the state budget or on a fee-paying basis on the terms provided for citizens of the Republic of Belarus.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying or temporarily residing in the Republic of Belarus can enter the BSU for Master's Studies:
- in accordance with international agreements of the Republic of Belarus at the expense of the state budget or on a fee-paying basis
- according to the results of the final certification on mastering the content of a Pre-University Programme for admission to higher education establishments of the Republic of Belarus or after studying a Bachelor's Degree programme and an additional interview in academic disciplines on a fee-paying basis
- according to the results of an interview establishing the level of their proficiency in the language of the educational process to the extent sufficient for mastering the content of the higher education programme of stage II, and an additional interview in academic disciplines on a fee-paying basis
