Development of practically-oriented student-centred education in the field of modelling of cyber-physical systems

General information about the project:

1. Purpose:

To develop modern curricula for bachelor's and master's degrees for universities in Belarus, which will provide the labor market with highly educated graduates in the field of practice-oriented innovative modeling of cyber-physical systems (CFS) for high-tech production and research institutions; to develop lecture courses, workshops for virtual laboratories and teaching aids for bachelor and master programs in the field of CFS modeling; provide a modern technical infrastructure for an innovative ICT-based learning environment to improve the qualifications and professional skills of teachers in the field of CFS modeling; to strengthen cooperation between representatives of business, science and universities in Belarus.

2. Within the framework of the project it is planned:

  • To develop and modernize curricula at the bachelor's and master's level and curricula for physics, mathematics and technical faculties at universities in Belarus in accordance with the EU university practice in the field of innovative modeling of CPS for high-tech production and research institutions.
  • To improve the quality of education in the field of modeling based on the developed and modernized curricula of the bachelor's and master's levels, focusing on the use of an innovative ICT environment in the implementation of the stated goals.
  • To ensure the importance of higher education in the field of modeling CFS in Belarus in accordance with the means and principles of the Bologna process.
  • Develop and update lecture courses and hands-on guides in virtual laboratory workshops as part of Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in CPS modeling.
  • Introduce a modern technological infrastructure with an innovative ICT-based learning environment to improve the qualifications and experience of teachers in the field of CFS modeling.
  • Improve the practical knowledge of English by teachers, research staff and students.
  • Conduct accreditation and introduce new programs in accordance with the Bologna principles, the needs of the labor market, as well as increase the employment opportunities of graduates.
  • Strengthen cooperation between business and university representatives in partner countries.
  • Provide the labor market in Belarus with highly qualified graduates trained as bachelors and masters to work in the field of practice-oriented modeling of CFS on topics related to the needs of high-tech industrial production and research institutions.
