General information about the project:

1.About the project:

it is planned that this project will be able to instill skills in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in students of all engineering specialties. By combining professional knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, engineering students from partner countries will be able to turn their knowledge and ideas into innovative startups.

2. Objective: to support economic growth and increase student employment by increasing the innovative competencies and entrepreneurial skills of engineering students through cooperation between universities and industry. It is planned to create an innovation center and use innovative knowledge and skills obtained through trainings and seminars for further training of students. The project is important in terms of creating new jobs, especially for young people.

3. Within the framework of the project it is planned:

In the field of education: teachers and specialists from partner countries' universities will take a theoretical and practical course on the use and implementation of innovative pedagogy. Integrated disciplines will be prepared for master's degrees in innovation and entrepreneurship for engineering students. In parallel, innovation centers will be created at partner universities.
In the economic field: innovation courses and an innovation center will facilitate the commercialization of ideas and their transformation into successful business projects and start-ups.
In the social sphere: the innovation center and the project results will promote greater use of innovation as an important component of the social and economic development strategy.

Project results and activities

1. Professional development of BSU employees (participation in international conferences, seminars, trainings, etc.):

6 BSU employees took part in 6 seminars and trainings conducted by foreign partners:

  • Organizer: Polytechnic University of Valencia, Valencia (Spain), March 26 - April 8, 2017, goal: preparatory training on entrepreneurship for representatives of partner universities;
  • Organizer: Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, (Sweden), May 31 - June 10, 2017, goal: seminar and familiarization with the work of Swedish innovation systems for further application in partner universities;
  • Organizer: Turku University of Applied Sciences, Turku (Finland), September 12-19, 2017, seminar on "Innovative Pedagogy";
  • Organizer: Taraz State University named after M.Kh. Dulati Taraz (Kazakhstan), April 15-22, 2018, seminar, topic "Innovative pedagogy and entrepreneurship";
  • Organizer: Polytechnic University of Valencia, Valencia (Spain), September 18 - 21, 2018, goal: in-depth training on entrepreneurship for representatives of partner universities;
  • Organizer: National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Yerevan (Armenia), February 13-17, 2019, a workshop to disseminate the available project results.

2. Improvement of educational / scientific / management activities (development of new and modernization of existing ones: educational programs, methodological support for them, local regulatory legal acts, etc., implementation of best practices in the educational process / management system, etc.)

2 special courses in Russian and English have been developed:

  • "Innovative systems",
  • "Entrepreneurship for Engineers".

3. Development of scientific and educational infrastructure (creation of educational and auxiliary structures: centers (laboratories) of creativity, specialized classrooms, etc., the acquisition of educational, scientific, office equipment).

The concept was developed and the Center for the Development of Innovative Competencies was created (order dated 09/10/2018 No. 524-OD).
