Internationalization Network I-NET

VISEGRAD FLAGSHIP PROJECTS PROGRAM

In 2015-2016. the Belarusian State University is implementing an international project called "Internationalization Network" (acronym "I-NET"). The project is funded by the International Visegrad Fund, the project coordinator is the Yerevan State University (Armenia), the consortium includes 13 universities from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and the Visegrad Four countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia).

Within the framework of the project, in order to develop international cooperation of the project participants, a web portal has been opened, which should become a platform for finding partners and promoting ideas for joint projects among the consortium members.The aim of the project is to integrate the European dimension into educational and research activities of universities in the Eastern Partnership region.

 The portal will also be open to all interested universities, so it is planned that the membership of the Internationalization Network will constantly expand. Within the framework of the project, it is also planned to hold a number of training seminars on the management of international activities for employees and management of universities participating in the project, as well as trainings for students and teachers of BSU on participation in academic mobility programs. 

All training materials, as well as methodological recommendations and other useful information about the international activities of universities participating in the consortium will be available on the web portal.

LAUNCHING MEETING ON THE I-NET PROJECT

 

Since 2015, the “I-net” project, financed by the Visegrad Fund, has added to the collection of internationalization projects of BSU. The idea of ​​the project, reflected in its name: the creation of an "internationalization network" ("Internationalization Network", "I-net") of universities of the countries of the Visegrad Four and the Eastern Partnership.

with the aim of introducing the European dimension into the educational and research activities of the project participants. The project is being implemented by a consortium of 13 universities from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, coordinated by Yerevan State University (Armenia).

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to develop a web portal for the development of international cooperation of the universities participating in the project, as well as to conduct a number of trainings on internationalization and management of the international activities of the university for the staff and management of the universities participating in the project.

The kick-off meeting on the project took place on December 2-4, 2015 in Minsk on the basis of the Belarusian State University. The participants presented strategies and visions for the internationalization of their universities, discussed the main steps to be taken during the implementation of the project, as well as issues of project management and activities to disseminate its results. Also at the meeting, the web portal of the internationalization network www.int-net.org was presented, the participants discussed possible topics for the training planned within the framework of the project in Tbilisi (Georgia).

The project will be completed in December 2016, the final event will be a conference in Yerevan. It is expected that the activities of the project will not be limited to the activities of the work plan, and the internationalization network will be open not only to project partners, but also to new participants.
