Development of a training network to improve education in the field of energy efficiency

1. Objectives of the project:

strengthening information exchange among higher education institutions of partner countries and EU member states to improve education in the field of energy efficiency, energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources.

2. Objectives of the project:

- to create coordinated / unified training programs for partner groups in areas (energy efficiency, energy saving, energy efficient materials, use of renewable energy sources);
- to develop / improve compatible and complementary learning laboratories in partner groups by areas;
- to develop / improve courses of lectures in partner groups in areas;
- develop / improve other compatible teaching materials for courses in partner groups in areas;
- purchase / upgrade equipment for laboratory workshops in partner groups in areas;
- to create an Electronic Library of developed / modernized training materials.

3. Brief description of the project:

The project is being implemented by a consortium of 14 universities from the EU and CIS countries at the expense of the European Commission and members of the consortium.
The implementation of the project will make it possible to introduce innovative methods of training specialists in the field of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources at BSU, BNTU and BSATU, and then disseminate the experience gained among other universities of the Republic of Belarus. Increasing the efficiency of the university educational potential, taking into account foreign experience and the needs of the higher education system of the Republic of Belarus, will help improve the quality of higher education, the recognition of Belarusian universities in the global educational space, as well as increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of Belarusian higher education in the international market of educational services.

4. Brief plan of project activities:

- management, coordination and interaction;
- development of educational programs;
- preparation of information and analytical materials;
- development of curricula, lecture courses and laboratory workshops;
- creation of a WEB-portal for placement (visualization) of all the results of the project;
- creation of the United Educational Platform (PLP);
- introduction of innovative, advanced education technologies in the field of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources in the practice of universities in partner countries;
- checking (testing) the developed OOP;
- conducting educational trainings for students and undergraduates;
- project quality control;
- Formation of guidelines for the dissemination of the experience gained among Belarusian universities.

5. Expected results:

- on the basis of the developed educational programs in the field of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources, a United Educational Platform (PLP) will be created, including compatible educational and methodological support, a system of complementary experimental and virtual training workshops at BSU, BNTU and BSATU, an electronic library and a WEB-portal ;
- practical implementation in BSU, BNTU and BGATU of the Unified Training Network, created on the basis of the PLO, for the training of specialists in the declared area;
- increasing the competence and skills of students, undergraduates and teachers of BSU, BNTU and BSATU in the field of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources;
- distribution among the universities of the Republic of Belarus of the developed educational, methodological and didactic materials and recommendations for improving the educational process in the field of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources.
