The goal of the project is to assess the natural potential of Belarus to identify the possibility of creating Geoparks in the Republic of Belarus and their inclusion in the UNESCO World Geoparks Network; defining the role of the country's ecological network in the preservation of regional geological diversity; creation of mechanisms for introducing the foundations of global ecology, geoecology and geology into educational practice.

The main results of the project:

- an informational and educational seminar “Geological heritage of Belarus in the research activities of students” (31 January 2020) was held, as a result of which a collection of articles “Actual problems of the protection of geological heritage in Belarus” was published (more than 50 participants);

- a system of methodological and methodological support for the education of young people in the field of global problems of geoecology and geology has been developed; creation of mechanisms for the introduction into educational practice of the foundations of global ecology, geology and their most important problems;

- a round table “Assessment of natural potential and identification of the possibility of creating geoparks in the Republic of Belarus” was held (more than 50 participants);

- a collection of articles “Assessment of natural potential and identification of the possibility of creating geoparks in the Republic of Belarus”, an informational booklet “Natural potential of creating geoparks in the Republic of Belarus” was published.
