It is necessary to pass a remote interview to determine the level of proficiency in the Russian language.
To enroll at BSU, foreign applicants from countries whose citizens require a visa to stay in the Republic of Belarus must first obtain an invitation to study. The list of countries with a visa-free entry regime to the Republic of Belarus is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus or at the consular office of the Republic of Belarus in your country.
The procedure for obtaining an invitation to study includes:
- submission of the application for admission and accompanying documents by the applicant
- review and examination of the submitted documents by the BSU admissions committee
- preparation and approval of the study invitation by BSU staff in the migration service
- upon positive approval of the invitation by the migration service — obtaining a study visa by the applicant at the consular office of the Republic of Belarus in the candidate's country of residence

- Completed Application Form
- Copies of educational documents with an appendix of completed subjects and obtained grades or scores (high school certificate, diploma of higher education, its appendix, master's diploma, etc.), as well as notarized translated copies of these documents into Russian (if the documents are not in Russian); copies of other certificates and diplomas of advanced training courses, preparatory department, Russian language courses, foreign language study courses, if available, etc.
- Copy of a medical certificate on the state of health issued by an official health authority of the candidate's country of origin with a notarized translated copy into Russian (if not in Russian). The medical certificate must be no older than 6 months!
- Copy of an HIV test certificate with a notarized translated copy into Russian (if the document is not in Russian). The medical certificate must be no older than 6 months!
- Copy of passport, valid for the duration of studies, with a translation into Russian (if the passport is not in Russian)
- For minors — a copy of the birth certificate with a notarized translated copy into Russian (if the document is not in Russian)
LANGUAGE OF DOCUMENTS
All documents issued in a foreign language must be accompanied by a translation into Russian. The translation of all documents, except for the passport, must be notarized. Foreign applicants must arrange for a notarized translation of their passport upon arrival in the Republic of Belarus.
SENDING DOCUMENTS
Foreign citizens from visa-required countries may send copies of documents for issuing an invitation to study at BSU using the following methods:
- by registered mail with the note "Invitation Processing"
- submit the document package to the BSU International Relations Office through a representative

PRELIMINARY SELECTION
BSU International Relations Office specialists review submitted educational documents and conduct a preliminary selection of foreign applicants. Consideration is given to:
- The applicant's ability to independently understand admission rules, complete the application form, and prepare necessary documents for BSU.
- Level of previous education (corresponding to the chosen study program).
- Academic performance.
- Knowledge of the Russian language.
SELECTION RESULTS AND INVITATION APPROVAL
Upon a positive decision and verification of educational documents, BSU International Relations Office specialists issue and send an official study invitation for approval to the Migration Office of the Moscow District Police Department of Minsk. If approved, the migration service forwards the lists for visa issuance to Belarusian consular offices in the applicant's country of residence, serving as a basis for obtaining a study visa for foreign citizens from visa-required countries.
The study visa is obtained at Belarusian consular offices.
